conferences, workshops & keynotes

“Miranda’s talks are filled with relevant details, tips, and ideas–as well as encouragement and affection for her fellow writers.  She is well organized and generous with her time —a great catch for any writer’s event.”
—Sue Peters, Co-Regional Advisor, SCBWI-MD/DE/WV

Just as mentors, teachers, speakers, and activists educated and inspired me on my paths in education and writing, I love fostering new voices. For me, sharing my knowledge and passion for writing and children’s literature through keynotes, workshops, and presentations is a way of giving back.

My years of training and experience as a classroom teacher and as a freelance writer and editor will bring zest and solid information to your conference or workshop attendees. I’ve spoken for groups of college graduates and teachers-in-training, aspiring authors, fair trade and green business owners, educators, librarians, and students of all ages.
