In 2012, Miranda Paul walked from border to border of the Gambia with students, teachers, and international volunteers on the African Bookwalk, an initiative spearheaded by Tom Warth and Books for Africa, Inc. Collectively, they raised tens of thousands of dollars and delivered approximately 22,000 books to small school libraries along the way.
These events took place as part of a larger Books for Africa fundraiser called “1 Million Books for Gambia.” Miranda continuously works to help raise funds to end the book famine in Gambia through speaking at schools, churches, universities, and other organizations.
