Hey teachers, parents, librarians & kids! Earth Day 2015 is just around the corner.
Inspired by Isatou Ceesay and the recycling women of Njau, Gambia, there’s a new contest for kids in grades Pre-K through 8th grade! This Recycling Idea contest gives students the chance to brainstorm their own creative recycling idea and harness the power of imagination and creativity. The student Earth Day contest is simple – kids think of a waste item that is a problem where they live, and brainstorm a way to transform it into something useful or beautiful.
The 2015 One Plastic Bag contest runs from February 20 – May 7, 2015. To view the information, download the contest form, read about the prizes and more, visit oneplasticbag.com/earth-day-contest-for-kids
