Author Reading and Autograph Event – Fair Isle Bookstore, Washington Island

Join authors Miranda Paul and Baptiste Paul for a special storytime and autograph session! This family-friendly event will take place at Fair Isle Books & Gifts on Wednesday, August 22 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The authors will read from some of their most beloved books and sign/customize books following the presentation. To ensure a copy of a particular title is reserved for you, it is suggested that you pre-order by calling Fair Isle Books at (920) 847-2565.

Hop on the ferry to Washington Island and enjoy a presentation in a beautiful setting! On Wednesday, August 22, award-winning author Miranda Paul will present the story behind the book One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia. Learn how one woman began a cooperative to clean up her village, protect animals and the environment, and build the economic capacity within her community. The presentation begins at 11:00 a.m. with an author signing and meet-and-greet to follow.
