Picture Book Workshop – Milwaukee, WI

Children’s Picture Books:
How to Tell (& Sell) Your Stories

This two-part workshop, with an optional critique opportunity, will be led by picture book author Miranda Paul. In today’s crowded market, writing and selling a standout book can be difficult. But a well-told story, even on a “done-before” subject, can still find a place on bookstore shelves. What are some techniques children’s authors employ to tell (or retell) tales to make them fresh and engaging for today’s readers? How are authors getting their work published, reviewed, and recommended by educators and booksellers? All levels of writers are welcome and will learn from this session.
