Free Skype Visits with Author Miranda Paul – Sign Up Now

Miranda Paul is visiting schools around the world on Wednesday, January 16—virtually! Sign up for one of the time slots on a Free Skype day for a 15-minute Q&A with the author.

NOTE: THIS SKYPE AUTHOR VISIT DAY IS NOW FULL. Please check for open slots on the May 14th date.

These 15-minute online FaceTime/Skype/Google Hangout appointments are for classrooms who have read Miranda Paul’s books and prepared Q&A in advance of the event time. The school library should have a copy or copies available in their school library for checkout following the event, as students will be ready to READ! Most available time slots will be scheduled between 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the US Central Time Zone, with flexibility on times for international schools in far-flung time zones.

Visit will focus on author Q&A of Miranda’s environmental and science-themed books (One Plastic Bag, Are We Pears Yet?) and readers will get an advanced sneak peek of her new books I Am Farmer or Nine Months
Friday, February 1 (World Read Aloud Day)
The Q&A can focus on general author questions or any books, plus Miranda will read from one of her favorite books. See Kate Messner’s blog for sign up info on this special WRAD event.
Tuesday, May 14 (with Farmer Tantoh)*
*Special event* – Miranda Paul will be visiting classrooms with renowned environmentalist Farmer Tantoh Nforba. Farmer Tantoh is the subject of the book I Am Farmer: Growing an Environmental Movement in Cameroon. Your students will meet a real life hero from a book while he’s visiting the United States, so don’t miss this limited opportunity.
