Miranda Paul will make a special school visit to Marlin Elementary School in Bloomington, Indiana. This 2017 “Authors for Earth Day” visit will include student programming as well as a school-wide vote on a charitable donation to a conservation organization. Miranda will donate her speaking fees to an organization of the students’ choosing in honor of the environmental holiday. Before the visit, students will research five organizations and ultimately decide where Miranda will donate the money on the day of the event. School visits are not typically open to the public. SAGES middle school students accepted the “Trex Plastic Bag Challenge” in November 26, and as a kick-off for their plastic bag recycling efforts, they’ve invited One Plastic Bag author Miranda Paul to visit! Miranda will present to students in grades K-8 for a special day of fun, learning, and activism. Miranda Paul will celebrate her new book’s birthday with students at Lodi Elementary School in Wisconsin! Children will be among the first to party along with Blobfish, the character in her new picture book, Blobfish Throws a Party. Miranda will do presentations to multiple classes throughout the day.
