SCBWI-Wisconsin Spring Luncheon: Clarity & Joy

Miranda Paul, author and SCBWI co-regional Advisor for Wisconsin, will give brief notes during this annual chapter event. Join the Society in picturesque Sturgeon Bay, Door County for our Spring Luncheon 2018. You’ll hear from Catherine Laudone, an editor from Simon & Schuster books for young readers, who will share insight on writing from different points of view. Cost: $50 members, $80 non-members
The cost includes mingling, a plated lunch, keynote speaker, and a raffle.
Lodging is optional and is NOT included in the cost of the luncheon
However, a limited block of rooms are available for those who want to stay overnight at Stone Harbor Resort. SCBWI members can reserve rooms at the special rate of $99 per night. Please call the hotel directly at (920) 746-0700 to reserve. Mention Write On Door County for the discounted lodging rate. Additional hotel options can be found on the lodging page.
DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP: The SCBWI-WI Diversity Committee is offering two scholarships to the Spring Luncheon—applications are due March 18. Learn more on the diversity scholarship page.
EXCLUSIVE: Attendees will receive submission guidelines and the opportunity to submit their work to Catherine Laudone as a courtesy. She accepts submissions for picture books, chapter books, middle grade and young adult. Only registered attendees will receive this information.
Bless Yourself with an Optional Weekend of Writing
This event will conclude the 2-day children’s literature conference and workshops being held by Write On, Door County. (Please see their website for more details on that conference, for which separate registration is required.)
