A unique chance to meet the author, illustrator, and hero of the book in one location!

Book Launch and Hands-On Workshops for One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of Gambia – March 21, 2015

Join us to celebrate the recent release of this exciting picture book! Visitors will enjoy the opportunity to meet the book’s author Miranda Paul, illustrator and local artist Elizabeth Zunon, as well as the main subject of the book, Isatou Ceesay. Together we’ll discover the story of an innovative woman who discovered a way to support her community and the environment. Miranda Paul will read her book and participants will create their own recycled art project. Books will be available for signing in the museum shop. This event is free (with museum admission).
